472 days locked in a pine box, at the mercy of a madman.
Flora Dane survived her hell with only one goal: develop all the deadly skills necessary to make sure she’s never caught again.
Detective D.D. Warren believes that Flora may be the key to finding missing college student, Stacy Summers.
But she must follow rules that Flora has no interest in.
For Flora no risk is too great, no cost too high, even if it means playing into a predator’s hands.
Two victims. One cop.
There are a lot of electronic eyes all over Boston like any major city.
But then that’s the problem as there is so much information and so any images possible for police to look through that the maze of information is almost impossible to fathom!
The kidnapper takes his victim and moves her around so places become kinked to her current situation and she tires to work out where she is via the type of place she is held: locations change or does she just think they do?
“I didn’t think Florida had basements. Or not many. Did that mean I wasn’t in Florida anymore? Maine has basements. Maybe he’s brought me all the way back to Maine.”
Most of the book is claustrophobic – set in a wooden box and it’s a frigtening vision of hell on earth
