The novel is vaguely set in Lincoln but it’s not a novel with locations as such. This is a story about a missing child, two cases of missing children several years apart. The story is inside the characters inner thoughts and observations.
There is also a journey outside of Lincoln and a journey over a wide distance (no spoilers here) but the places are just briefly mentioned although you get a sense of the isolation of those on the journey.
