A recurrent nightmare: running through a dark forest, crying for her mother. Now her six-year-old niece, Summer, is having the same dream…
Jude, a successful auctioneer, is asked to value a collection of scientific instruments and manuscripts belonging to Anthony Wickham, a lonely 18th-century astronomer, she heads off to Norfolk, where she grew up.
Jude soon becomes enthralled by Wickham’s tragic story, but is both shocked and surprised at the links to the present.
The more she looks, the more links she finds….
