What you need to know before your trail

The story of one Liverpool family preparing for the onslaught of World War Two.

Jean and Vi are twins but are as different as chalk and cheese. Jean might be poor  but she is immensely honest, hardworking husband and their children.

Meanwhile, Vi’s husband has a new role as a local councillor and the family live in an elegant new house.

But war will change everything – the children may have to be evacuated and no one know how things will change and what they will have to face in the coming months. The person who appears at the door one day may just change things even more.

Liverpool life in the war is full of fear, heartbreak but ultimately family life.
