What you need to know before your trail

Clarissa Schneckberg has lost her job, her boyfriend, and her sanity. But just when life appears to be heading south, she decides to really head south–to Antarctica, where the male-to-female ratio is something like four-to-one. Now, the only place she hasn’t looked for love is the one place where she may be most likely to find it.

Travel Guide

The Antarctic as a girly weekend

Not suitable. Imagine going on here on a whim to find yourself and possibly find a man where there is barely any life form. And those people you do meet are so few and far between, muffled up in protective gear. You need skills and nerves of steel to be out here. Not a pom pom hat.

Antarctica is Earth’s southernmost continent. It contains the geographic South Pole and is nearly twice the size of Australia. Covered in ice though and with considerably less available men.

Not sure that the Ice Princess knows that it’s the coldest, driest, and windiest continent and very little signs of life – although animals and tundra do exist here. The only places where there are people are in the few research stations .
