Following a traumatic time in her life, Emma has found peace in beautiful Fårö. She has met the wonderful Olle and they spend long summers running a shabby but charming guesthouse by the sea. But do they really want the same things in life?
When life once again falls apart, Emma returns home to Stockholm. She is unsure of what to do next, but when her friend advises her to return to Spain where she has visited before, to make the Santiago pilgrimage, she feels compelled to do it. Walking here gave her a zest for life once before so maybe it will work its magic again?
