2000s: Experience the wild west of Alberta
Amanda’s friend Leah comes to Alberta from England and so Amanda can’t wait to see her and show her the sights of her fine city. There’s so much to see and do such as the Calgary Stampede and spending time with the spend time with the dinosaurs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum.
But they come across something very unexpected – a stone with a unique mark on it. They don’t realise the importance of it until everyone they meet seems to want it. One cowboy in particular seems hell bent on getting it, putting both girls in danger….
The greatest outdoor show on earth. “The Royal Tyrrell museum is set in a valley surrounded by badlands. Greeting visitors at the entrance stood replicas of Triceratops. A sign explained that the name meant three-horns on the face.”
A pow wow is a dance competition. Young girls were bright dresses decorated with shiny cones on the sleeves, tops and along the bottoms of the skirts, with beaded moccasins on their feet, feature plumes in their hair.
