Award-winning artist and stage designer Paul Wright and his partner Nicola found out the hard way, struggling through nightmarish and obstructive Italian bureaucracy, but relishing their life as they worked, played, ate and drank alongside the residents of a beautiful, quiet lakeside village.

There’s a lot to see and enjoy in Moltrasio. The festa takes lace each year and is one of the biggest events on the lake apparently.
It’s a fair and there’s stalls, food and more food in and around the wown. Of course there is a lot of art displays and cultural sights to see too celebrated here.

When they work in Torno, it’s a simple and stunning ferry journey just over the lake.
