Two sisters grow to adulthood in 1970s Toronto, with their conflicted mother and an elderly neighbour.

It’s the story of the notion of “sisterhood,”  how two girls navigate their turbulent relationship. Four characters whose lives are intertwined reveal what it is to be lonely and struggling to be recognised.

And how do you live when one of you is classed as an anomaly? An albino to be looked at,  pointed at, and judged.

Meanwhile, Toronto, a complex city in itself, is evolving during a pivotal decade into an international urban centre.
