Bad Blood (DI Marjory Fleming #8)

Why a Booktrail?

1993, 2000s:  What would it be like to remember every detail about your life? But not remember the one event which defines you?

  • ISBN: 978-0749016371
  • Genre: Crime

What you need to know before your trail

Aged eleven, you wake up alone in an isolated cottage, with a head injury and your mother gone…

What happened to that child? Keira wants to know as she is that child, now grown but still wondering what happened to her and why the police investigation was suprisingly low key.

She’s suffers hyperthymesia which means that she can remember practically everything she sees but the one thing she can’t remember is her past. And when she tracks down  DI Marjory Fleming who might be able to help, she seems oddly reluctant.

Maybe somethings really are best left in the deep dark recesses of the human mind.

Travel Guide

Galloway

There is no town called Galloway but there is a town called New Galloway and so we’ve put this on the map.

The area is clearly Galloway and the entire atmosphere and emotion in the book is deeply entrenched in the novel. It’s desolate, rural, beautiful and very unique to Scotland.

The town of New Galloway and the Galloway Forest Park  is part of the Galloway region –

Kirkluce

Galloway Constabulary in set in the fictional town of Kirkluce. There is also a village called Glenluce which could also have inspired the setting if not the name.
