Why a Booktrail?

Moya starts going out with Martyn but only after a few dates, it’s clear that there is something strange about him and so she ends the fledging relationship. But Martyn just won’t accept it’s over.
Three weeks later, Moya meets her older sister Evie on a picnic, and learns that she has recently met the man of her dreams. Only problem is – it’s Martyn.
Is this some kind of game? If it is, he’s only just getting started.
The town and streets in this novel are never really mentioned by name. The city is vague, the sights are vague as is the area around it. However, that’s not what’s important in the novel as the real trail if you like is that lead by Martyn as he becomes further and further into embroiled into his game.
The setting therefore is one of extreme claustrophobia and the thoughts inside Moya’s head as events spiral out of control. Imagine if your sister went out with a guy who treated you so badly? Imagine coming home and finding the guy you’d only just started dating, sitting inside your flat? He’s found the key you keep outside in case of emergencies and just invited himself in. In your flat, in your life, in your every waking moment.
Creepy.
For the sake of a booktrail however, we take you on a short walk around Manchester, the author’s home town.
