For DCI Charlie Anderson, the streets of Glasgow have never really been paved with gold, more like grit and gore, but now that psychopath Billy McAteer is back on the streets of the city, things are only going to get worse.

Meanwhile, Simon, a business man receives an email with a compromising photo attached of him and his mistress. The sender says that they will send the picture if he doesn’t come up with £50k. The press will have a field day and Ramsay’s career will be over.

But when his mistress Laura finds out she is afraid of what her violent husband might do. So she ends up getting no less than McAteer on the case.

And then things get really bad….
