Blood Moon – The Huntress/FBI Thrillers #2

Why a Booktrail?

2000s: Twenty-five years have passed since a killer massacred three ordinary families in California. The only survivor was a child who is now wanted by the FBI for crimes of her own. You should read Huntress Moon first as this continues the story….

  • ISBN: 978-1477822050
  • Genre: Crime, Hitman/Gangster, Thriller

What you need to know before your trail

Special Agent Matthew Roarke is the man in charge with tracking this survivor down. Now an adult, she is as deadly as any person he’s ever had to hunt. But this one is different as the more he finds out about her, the more he feels some sympathy for her history and motives.

However Roarke soon uncovers evidence of new family killings, things take a different turn. This is not going to be an easy search by any means.

Travel Guide

Following on from Huntress Moon and the killings which occurred mainly on the streets of San Francisco, Blood Moon carries on the bloody theme again on the mean streets of the city in the bay.  Cara who was the only survivor of the first book is back and out of hiding. Someone known as The Reaper is killing now though and killing them during the full moon – the next one of which will appear in two weeks time.

Set mainly in San Francisco, the streets and dark alleyways explored in grim detail in the first book show as traces in the second. Its as if the bloody footprints and crime scenes are still traceable all over the city. The city which is vividly evoked in grisly detail –

“Hippie ghosts flit at street corners, but meth has taken its toll”

…weaving through harried commuters and panhandling homeless and the pervasive smell of marijuana smoke on Market Street.

Haight-Ashbury comes alive –

“Something is pulling her towards the Haight, the legendary hippie mecca of Haight Ashbury adjacent to the park”

These are the streets not bathed but drowned in moon light, and suffocated in shadows.

Roarke follows Cara around the city and tries to stay one step ahead but all the while feelings are being confused and attraction is growing. He has his motives, she has hers and the link between the two is a dangerous tightrope.

Don’t read this by the light of a full moon, that’s all we’re saying.
