Broken Man on a Halifax Pier
Why a Booktrail?
Travel Guide
Travel BookTrail style from Halifax to Eastern Nova Scotia
Halifax
The setting for the start of the novel. It’s here, the town with its Titanic connections and themes of tragedy where the story of the man takes place. He is standing on the pier considering ending it all when his life changes for the better. He instead goes to a village he knows well to recuperate and regain his life.
Stewart Harbor – East Lawrencetown
Charles left home when younger to study journalism and moved to Halifax but the closure of the paper is just the start of his life spiraling out of control. His return to the small fishing village where he grew up is life changing in more ways than one.
Stewart Harbor is fictional but the author lives in a very similar place called East Lawrencetown and it’s here where he wrote the book.
