Travel Guide

The tag line for this book is ‘The Dubai Diaries: A True Story of Sun, Sand, Sex, and Secrecy’ and when you think this is based on true facts and put the book together via blog posts, then this is a read for a gap year kind of experience with a difference.

Dubai at the time was experiencing a boom and it was the place where a lot of young people were attracted to for the tax free existence and promise of a great lifestyle. Whilst some  of this was true – there are maids to most homes and living on the beach seems to be the norm, there are lots of things which are annoying or just too different to home. The heat being one of the things hard to describe to someone who has never been.

Having an affair with anyone never recommended but Becky does with an M and M- which stands for married and muslim. Not advisable!

The thrills and spills of the expat lifestyle are documented and explored here though and Becky doesn’t hide from the truth of how different and difficult life here can be. She is there to have fun and she does do that.
