What you need to know before your trail

Tom and Abby Stuart had everything: a perfect marriage, successful careers, and a beautiful twelve-year-old daughter, Caitlin. Then one day Caitlin vanished. The tragedy changed their lives and shattered their marriage.

Four years later, Caitlin is found alive – dirty and dishevelled yet preternaturally calm. The police arrest a suspect, but Caitlin refuses to testify, leaving the Stuarts with a choice: let the man who may be responsible for destroying their lives walk away, or take matters into their own hands.

When Tom decides to try to uncover the truth for himself, nothing can prepare him for what he discovers . . .

Travel Guide

Travel BookTrail style to Cambridge Ohio

The town in the book is actually New Cambridge Ohio but Cambridge goes on the map with its cemetery and streets which evoke the setting in the novel. Columbus is about an hour away and this is where Buster lives. But Cambridge has its own oddities:

“New Cambridge, Ohio, is a college town of about fifth thousand people, mostly middle class, mostly quiet and pleasant. It was primarily populated by professors and their families and students who came and went based on the academic calendar. Bad things didn’t happen on New  Cambridge, at least not bad things that people knew or talked about.

The cemetery proves to be a macabre and desolate landscape giving the novel a dark and foreboding overtone.  A  girl coming back after years missing is only the start of the nightmare…
