Wales and Dylan Thomas go hand in hand like well, one and the same thing as the two can not be separated. There are many things to see and do in Wales and Swansea where the writer and poet was born is of course top of the list. Laugharne is the small village where he lived with his wife and the village illustrated in this children’s book.
The Boathouse – Dylan and his wife dreamed of living in the Boathouse, set idyllically on the Taf Estuary. A wealthy benefactor bought it for them, and Dylan lived there with his family from 1949 to 1953.
The museum in Swansea tells the story of Dylan’s life, work and legacy, from his birth on 27 October 1914 in Swansea to his death on 9 November 1953 in New York.
Dylan Thomas landscape and the birthday walk in and around Carmathenshire is also where the landscape from his life works is to be found.
