Two Mormon missionaries who are working in the dangerous Latin American neighborhood of Vila Barbosa know just how dangerous life here can be. When Marco Aurelio, a man they recently baptized, disappears from a crowded street market, they fear the worst.
And it’s not as if the corrupt local police force are going to do anything about it, so Elder Toronto and Elder Schwartz decide to investigate Marco Aurelio’s disappearance themselves.
But in order to do so, they must break one mission rule after another and try to find any kind of clue that they can in order to find their friend

The “City of Brick and Shadow,” could be a number of cities and places but what it does centre on is the journey of these two hero but quite ordinaryMormon missionaries trying to find reason where there seems to be none and to find someone in the city of lost souls admidst the slums
These hapless young missionaries meet up with a cast of characters from his short-tempered, bodybuilding brother to his gun-toting ex-wife!
And we’re taken on the journey like two buddy-missionaries in a ride along within Brazilian society.
