2000s: Bamford is not the quiet village you think it is.
Bamford is Chief Inspector Markby, they represent home specifically the charming village of Bamford.
Bamford is a quiet little village in teh Cotswolds that is a nice change from London for Mitchell and a place which has many happy memories for Markby.
Markby is annoyed to see bulldozers threaten one of his boyhood haunts but anger turns to alarm when workmen uncover a recently buried corpse. No-one seems to know who this man is and farmers who own land adjacent to the burial site are of little help.
Chief Inspector Markby is looking forward to the forthcoming arrival of Meredith, who has finally decided to visit him in Bamford. But she doesn’t expect to be following a trail of clues and possible traces of witchcraft!
“Bamford, a nice little country town, surrounded by rural peace and space.”
“Oh to be in England, now that April’s there…”
Welcome to Bamford – a village in the Cotswolds but in reality a village in the Derbyshire Peak District. So a bonus really as you can explore both locations for the price of one.
Both rural and remote locations amongst the most stunningly beautiful areas in the UK
Bamford is described as a market town, a small, quiet place with ramshackle friendly streets.
But new developments and new houses could change the face of Bamford for ever so there are protests and one reason that this change is uncovering secrets from the past.
Not so quiet in Bamford now!
