Fancy dipping your toes into the dark waters of Copenhagen Noir? with the variety of Scandinavian Noir now on the literary map, Denmark sometimes gets overlooked so this is a real smorgasbord of literary delights for you to sample. Of course some will leave a bitter after taste in your mouth and you may feel the need to screw up your nose and look away from the feast – but you’ll not be able to stop sampling what’s on offer.
Some rump cuts of meat here but the bulk of the feast comes from the underbelly ….

A Fine Boy
A woman leaves her baby outside in its push chair whilst she is inside a restaurant – a very Scandinavian thing especially in Sweden but when it’s part of a plot here, such a small and accepted Scandinavian detail takes on a rather dark tone.
Savage City, Cruel City:
This story takes place in Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden and noted for its high immigrant population. Since it has very strong ties to Denmark and of course the Oresundsbro bridge is here linking the two countries together physically, sometimes Malmö is classes as a suburb of Copenhagen.
Most stories involved dark and depressing overtones and not all are easy to read but an eclectic and interesting viewpoints of one city. The author talks of the main sights in his intro and these are the ones we pick for a booktrail
