Danny, Lady Caroline and the gang, working to make The Marquess Of Queensbury South London’s most up and coming gastro-pu., decide what better place to have the wake of Lady Margaret Wright.
She stipulated in her will that it should be held in her old neighbourhood. Danny has spotted an opportunity and grasped it with both hands.
But this is Danny Bird and well, things hardly go to plan when he’s around. Before long, there’s not just one dead body to take care of, but a few. Danny and Lady Caroline find themselves at the centre of a murder mystery like something straight off a Cluedo board – there’s a whole cast of characters, and all sorts of implements which could be part of the suspect list.
All Danny wants is for people to stop getting killed in his pub. It’s not too much to ask is it?
Danny Bird is running a pub for a gangster. It’s a long story, which happened when Danny lost everything and came to London looking for a new start. Well he got that and then some. Death of a Diva was the first part of his story and now Death of a Nobody follows on the tale. For Danny Bird and the cast of characters who inhabit Derek Farrell’s London are as varied as they are quirky and one of a kind.
Danny Bird might expect to find trouble in the world of gangsters and shady folk. But can he solve another murder?
He’s got a pub to run in the meantime and not only that a pub to get as good as he can get it. The rather grand sounding Marquess of Queensbury just has to be the next biggest and best gastro-pub in London doesn’t it!
So come to the pub, there’s an awful lot on this menu and much of what you have never tasted before!
