Queen Square Park
Maria sits here and feeds the bird. “The tree-lined green with a horseman at its centre and a star of pathways was always busy but people rarely sit still there for long. It was more a passing-through kind of park.
The Grand Hotel
The jurors stay here as tis’a grand Victorian Building near the Cathedral and a couple of minutes walk from Harbourside. which provided a private room for the jurors to eat in away from other guests.”
Cabot Centre
The main shopping centre where Lottie goes and it’s the quietest she’s seen it in a long time. Never had breakfast here before. She notes that it’s the commercial pilgrimage for many.
The Bristol Clifton Suspension Bridge
The book’s chapter 2 opens here with Lottie driving past it and recalling Brunel’s homage of “ My first love. My darling” as he called the bridge.
