The Czech elections are imminent and everyone holds their breath for what they hope will be a monumental day. But there are others who have their own plans for the regime and will do anything they can to preserve the status quo.
Peter Lowe, is just one of the men working to prevent reunification by any means he can. But he himself starts to question the validity of the cause and his personal beliefs as to what he’s doing.
The elections near but it’s the behind the scenes where the most action is going on. Prague is certainly in the spotlight.

Modern Prague is a very unsure and unstable place. The Velvet Revolution might be long over but the ripples of that time still reverberate…. What would a reunification between the Czech and Slovak republics mean for the people and what would they look like? What would this new identity be called and is it even possible?
This is a very unique setting for a novel and a highly original one as novels often discuss what has happened during a revolution and not really how and if this status could be reversed.
Fact and fiction is of course blurred but that’s what makes this landscape so appealing. Many of us can remember the Velvet revolution of 1989 but have you ever thought what could happen if it reversed?
Fact and fiction may mix to create fantasy but this is one political event which could become reality in the unstable world in which we live. What does go on in the corridors of power? With the European Union and other political institutions in such turmoil now, this might not be as disturbing a read as it would first appear.
