1935: An imaginative reworking of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express!
Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are taking a holiday on the world-famous Orient Express – but you can be sure that not all of their fellow first-class passengers are honest and good travellers. There is also a rumour that there’s a spy in their midst. Cue a series of mad cap adventures of the Wells and Wong detective agency but this time on a train!
During dinner, they hear a scream from one of the cabins. When the door is broken down, a passenger is found murdered, her stunning ruby necklace gone.
But the killer has vanished. As if by magic.
Imagine travelling on the Orient Express! Just like in the old Agatha Christie novel which inspired this book itself. You can sense the excitement of two young girl detectives getting on board and having their very own locked room mystery.
Daisy’s father thinks that a holiday will be lovely for them both and that there’s no room for any detective business but he would be wrong, Well it’s quite hard to avoid or ignore a dead body on a train!
The train is everything you could imagine. Te passengers on board range from a writer to a Russian countess, as well as two young girl detectives of course. The style and sumptuous comfort of the train, the wood pannelled carriages and the Golden Age setting – welcome aboard!
