Emily Donovan and her niece Lizzie arrive on Puffin Island, they are there to escape the past and Emily;s job is to keep Lizzie safe. She hopes that the small town feel and community feel to Puffin Island will be just the tonic they need. Never mind that Emily has a deep fear of the sea from a romantic event in her past..
So when she meets charismatic local yacht club owner Ryan Cooper will she let a stranger – one who loves the sea no less in to her heart?
Ryan is no stranger to secrets himself – but he sees Emily and her secrets a challenge he can’t wait to solve! And he’s going to enjoy doing so.
Here’s hoping the magic of Puffin Island will rub off on Emily and that she will see there is more to the island than first meets the eye..

The settings in Sarah Morgan’s books are largely authentic – the general locations are authentic but the specifics are the product of her imagination since she says it gives her more creative freedom.
This just means that there’s even more scope for booktrails as the area to explore per book is bigger and better than most!
Puffin Island, Maine – the fictional setting of the book yet there are actually four islands which could be Puffin island – Eastern Egg Rock, Matinicus Rock/Seal Island, Petit Mana, and Machias Seal Island. Then there is the town of Ogunquit which is very charming indeed and ooh we think this might be it!
The cottage was on the far side of the island, nestled on the edge of Shell Bay. A beach hideaway. A haven from the pressures of life.
Puffin island is a seaside town which is an ideal place to escape to – and for Emily and Lizzy even more so. From details such as the harbour master and the ice cream shop. these are all places you’ll want to visit.
You’re going to love Puffin island, You should take a boat trip to see the seals and the puffins. And don’t forget to visit Summer Scoop. Best ice cream in Maine and all organic.
Emily ‘s friend owns a cabin on Puffin Island and has offered Emily an escape while she sorts out her new life. Ryan owns a restaurant/bar, the ice cream shop is to die for….you’ll never go hungry here.
