2000s: Follow the medics around the outback in their little plane
Three very different people all with something different to hide. First there’s Jessica who is doing her best to remain unnoticed and forget a legal case she;s involved in. Adam is the town doctor trying to hide his own deep scars of an emotional kind and finally Ellen who along with her children are running away from the very man who was supposed to love and protect them.
Corah Creek may be fictional but it feels very very real. It’s based on the many villages and settlements in and around the outback area. This is a cosy romance in one of the most remote and often inhospitable areas in Australia. The medical community get around by means of planes to see their patients. The Flying doctors are what connects these people.
Corah Creek seems like a wonderful place albeit desolate and remote an where the sense of community is tight. People here are caring but want or need to know everything about each other and especially new comers. Situated at the heart of the outback it could well be close to the most famous sight in that region – Uluru
“Corrah Creek. She’d look up the Aboriginal word up on the internet. It meant woman”
The essence of the outback is brought out in many ways:
“The rough red of the outback soil predominated…”
The rough and ready mining pub, the ramshackle homes, the dusty tracks and the creek beds all blend to form a unique setting for a unique story.
