Scarlett, the movie obsessed young lady from ‘From Notting Hill with love….actually ‘ and ‘From Notting Hill to New York’ is back and this time she’s in two places at once. Now dividing her time between her popcorn business in London and the charity she has founded in New York which helps to find missing people.
Working for the charity, she comes across Gabriella Romero, a celebrity but someone who also becomes her friend.
On top of her work, she’s in the middle of planning her dream wedding to Sean, but it’s not long before she becomes embroiled in the kind of plot that up until now have only been seen in her favourite movies?
Has fiction actually become fact? Which is stranger?
This is Scarlett’s life at the moment as she flies from one city to the next trying to work her two jobs and at the same time plan a wedding to be remembered.
When her work leads her to meet famous party-girl Gabrielle Romero, the two of them strike up a friendship which Scarlett enjoys since being in her world opens up a whole new one for her. It’s glitzy too which she loves. Soon , however she is working for Gabi and becomes involved in something unexpected.
What about her wedding preparations?
The two locations are linked romantically now too –
New York is a fabulous setting and is exactly where you would want to plan a wedding. Sean’s plans in particular allows you to see the city come alive in the most romantic of ways –
One of her best friends Oscar- begins to plan his own wedding with a Shakespearean/fairy theme-and its such a success that Scarlett thinks she might have to rethink her own…
Can’t tell who loves New York more – Scarlett or the author Ali but this buzz for the city comes through on every page. Allow them both to be your guide as you wander around Central Park, down Fifth Avenue and anywhere else your Jimmy Choos take you.
Many streets are mentioned – Fifth Avenue, 34th STreet, 42nd Street and of course there’s Bloomingdale’s not far behind.
Enjoy your trip to New York!
