This is quite an amazing tale of the classic Hansel and Gretel fairytale. The Brothers Grimm’s greatest, and perhaps darkest, fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel is stunning recreated and brought in to vivid life. You will be enticed into the world and into the woods . . . so beware.
The Black Forest is well known for being the inspiration behind many of the tales of the Brothers Grimm. The house Hansel and Gretel stumble upon in the forest is probably somewhere in the Black Forest and there are plenty of villages in and around the area where you can see gingerbread looking houses!
This is the town where the Brothers Grimm grew up and heard their first fairy stories. Even today, it’s a magical place of half-timbered houses, with a stone fountain in the cobbled square carved with fairytale figures.
