2000s: Welcome to Honeycote….a village so small where does it keep all its secrets?
Honeycote House is a stunning country home in the middle of the Cotswolds. It has the large stately home of Honeycote House in the middle and the Liddiard family who live there are well known across the village.
This is a large stately home which is also known for its status as a legendary party location
There’s certainly a queue of endless guests, parties and family fun. But unbeknownst to his wife Lucy, Mickey Liddiard is planning a few changes that his wife is unaware of – one is to give his mistress the boot. The second is to take his hands out of the till – that’s maybe why the business is not doing too well. He owes money but he owes his family even more, not to mention giving up the drink.
There’s someone watching to see what happens however as they have one eye on events and another on his wife..
Honeycote is fictional but it could be a mix of any one of the pretty Cotswold villages really as there are many Honeycote look a likes we think!
“It was a sad fact that many of the local who had been born and bred here could no longer afford to buy the higgledy piggledy, gingerbread houses that lined its streets”

The Honeycote Arms towers over the village:
“The pub was looking tired and ramshackle, in need of love and attention, though not even the peeling paintwork could detract from the loveliness of the mellow stone from which it was built.”
This an other pubs had celebrated the brewery’s centenary and there had been a huge village party and a huge beacon outside each pub where on Poacher’s hill just outside the village you would be able to see each fire twinkling in the distance. Imagine the view!
