Oxford and Surrey with Cara Hunter
Back to Oxford, Hunter’s stomping ground, but this time we head out to Wytham and an old farmhouse. A murder takes place. Two elderly people inside the house. No witnesses, right? Well, despite the remote nature of the farm, there is someone out there in the darkness.
The rural and dark atmosphere of the book is threaded throughout the novel and the scenes at the farmhouse at night are very creepy. There’s a visit or two out to Surrey but Oxford is the star of the show. There’s even a jaunt over to New York but you have to wait towards the end for that.
