2000s: A Hot Flash holiday sounds good, right?
The intrepid women of The Hot Flash Club are back for the holidays, soothing jingled nerves and stressed shoppers in their exclusive spa and celebrating the joys of the season. In her witty and delightfully wisecracking prose, Nancy Thayer tells a heartwarming tale packed with fun, secrets, romance-and an ample dose of good cheer. When the Hot Flash friends gather at the spa to trim the Christmas tree, they share steaming mugs of hot chocolate, a few laughs, and a vow to make this holiday one to remember. And it is-but not in the cheerful, ho-ho-ho way they expected. Instead, Christmas brings family conflicts, household accidents, plane delays-and that’s just the beginning
Immerse yourself in a carefree and sandy paradise of a Nantucket summer. The Nancy Thayer version of Nantucket really is somewhere to relax and see the dramas of other people’s lives play out other than your own.
The women in the club are in for a treat when they have their holidays and spare time here.
The Beaches are a particular draw and there’s plenty of them on this island! Brant Point Beach is particularly nice and a short walk from town. The 40th Pole beach is great for families and young children, as there are fewer waves this side of the island.
As they make their way down South Water Street toward the Whaling Museum, their feet might wander toward the music and laughter pouring out into the street. This is where you’ll find some of the best restaurants and bakeries.
This is an island for cycling, visiting lighthouses, spending time on the beaches and feeling fit in the fresh air.
The island has three lighthouses and an interesting Whaling Museum which encapsulates the island’s history.
