2000s: The twelfth in the Rizzoli & Isles series
A young woman’s body is found lying on her bed, two bloodied objects clutched in her palm. The house is decorated with horror movie posters, and the entire building gives off a feeling of unease and foreboding.
Detective Jane Rizzoli and Forensic Pathologist Maura Isles come to the scene but it seems impossible to see how the woman died. They start their investigations and they are led back to a high-profile murder case that was seemingly solved years before. Then another body is found in horrific circumstances and the link between the two victims is clear.
Was the wrong person sent to prison? Is the real killer out there right now, picking off new targets? Someone knows, but that someone needs to keep a secret.
Narrow and full of official vehicles. It cuts like a narrow canyon between red brick warehouses. “One this ha been a district of leather workers and wholesalers. May of those nineteenth -century buildings had been converted to loft apartments, and what had once been an industrial part of the city was now a trendy neighborhood for artists”
A city just outside of Boston and one where someone of interest lives.
There are lavish homes here where tycoon families used to come and play during the summer, bringing their servants and ball gowns. These were summer homes and those people would return to the city in the winter. The police go to see a house here as part of the investigation
Framingham is situated on the ancient trail known as the Old Connecticut Path. It’s currently a town but apparently will acquire city status in 2018
The most unsettling landscape is of course the Apple Tree nursery and the events which went on there and which still reverberate in the present day, Heartbreaking and of course fictional.
