Did you know that Canada has its own ‘Loch Ness’ monster?
The Ogopogo monster is said to live in the Okanagan lake in British Columbia and is known as the Canadian Loch Ness Monster. Many people have seen it and the story has survived many many years. The question is has Ogopogo?
Did you know that the Loch Ness monster has some kind of a Canadian cousin?
Okopogo lives in the Okanagan lake in British Columbia – in fact it’s not known just who or what else might live in there. A monster was spotted many years ago, more than 1000 years ago and one man in particular – Frank Reiger – seemed to give very good detail of the creature he is said to have seen.
The lake and the monster is captivating. The first white settlers in the North West are said to have been the first to see this creature but many have seen him or her since. Imagine a creature like this still being alive and look out on the lake and imagine him there. It’s quite a legend and like any good legend it has lingered over the centuries and in many books such as this one.
If you want to know more about the area and the creature – what he might be and what he might eat etc, take this visit to his home – the lake of mystery deep in British Columbia.
