2023: Can one weekend in Paris save their marriage?
When her husband suggests a romantic break, Claire feels obliged to say yes but immediately regrets it. After the tragedy they’ve been through, how can one weekend in Paris save their marriage?
Claire and Ronan aren’t the only people on a make-or-break visit to the City of Love. There is a big-shot movie producer from Hollywood, full of regret for a life ill-lived; a student from Boston, torn between love and duty; a Ukrainian refugee struggling to protect her little sister; and an old woman from Dijon, hoping to be braver than she has ever had to be before.
When their lives briefly intertwine, something extraordinary happens…

If you want a weekend in Paris, then take this book with you! We visit Shakespeare and Company for one thing. The legendary English-language bookshop is, naturally, at the very top of the must-see list for librarian Claire
There’s many streets and the colourful area where they find their Air BnB. Oh and a few train stations of note. With the Eiffel Tower in the background of course! The sights, smells and emotions of the city of love are all around.
What a very special novel this is. A book set in Paris that tells the stories of several people then weaves them all into one poignant and emotional tale, is very special indeed. What I loved about this book was the way it spoke to me as I imagine it would speak to everyone who reads in but in a way unique to them. Whoever you are, however old you are, you will find a piece of you in this novel. And read the story of how Lynda came to write it; it’s just as fascinating as the novel itself. One to soak up and spend time with.
