The author says that as a Latina mother exposed to songs and traditions from both the US and her native Venezuela, she wanted to mix both of her backgrounds in order to bring this Spanish nurseryrhyme as a lovely way of helping children learn Spanish.  The author is keen to promote a sense of community and connect kids, especially Latino kids, to their culture and with this book, she is likely to succeed! This is  a lovley way to learn Spanish and to learn of a very popular song at the same time. The book is just lovely and watch the video of the author talking about her passion!
