Why a Booktrail?

2000s: Are you a Poldarling?
Lisa has sworn off love and relationships after a really bad experience so she escapes life by waching Poldark on the TV and wishing that all men were like this. It’s an escape in more ways than one and she meets other fans of the show and talks about it with them – new friends and a new escape. Then she goes one further – why don’t they travel on down to Cornwall to see their favourite show being filmed. Maybe they’ll meet Poldark himself?
Maybe four strangers can find friendship, as well as a certain sexy hunk on their trip south?
This is in fact the novella of a booktrail -four people who head off on a journey to see the locations of a book and TV show? Now that sounds very familiar. There are many Poldark locations to visit and Bodmin in particular which represents the rustic landscape and the rough winds dancing over the landscape and ruffling Poldark’s hair.
They travel by car with various songs playing in the background – Whitney Houston’s I Want to Dance With Somebody. Songs to keep their mood up and the excitement of what they are about to do alive and well.
A lot of the story takes place in the car – it’s the excitement of a trail and of looking for Captain Poldark which is the key. And as they near Cornwall, and start to see the places they read about, the beaches, the coves and Bodmin Moor comes to life….but will they spot anyone wearing a three cornered hat?
