Ruby Miller heads straight on the Eurostar to Paris when her boyfriend Jack stands her up at the airport.She’s just desperate to get away and so decides to have a break from all that romance and grief, head off to the city of love but just to see the sights and an old friend. Nothing more.
But Paris has other ideas and it’s not long before she becomes a love detective once again – well she has found some mysterious love letters and is dying to know who they’re from and when they were written. She is a romance writer after all!

Old Paris
Old Paris comes alive. Harriet, Ruby’s friend works for a major auction house and it’s her job to try and trace this lady’s ancestors and find out who the apartment and estate now belong to. The mystery into the letters and the apartment deepens, so too does a little history and culture of the city. This apartment is like a time warp as the owner is thought to have fled after the war and never returned.
The apartment in Pigalle
Remember the very first time you go into this apartment and discover it for yourself. The door creaks, the room smells of the past, the decoration is a faded reminder of a bygone era and even the table is still set.

Provence
The story takes us to Provence and 1940 when Madame Dumont lived there. Ruby heads down to the region and starts to look into the pat but is also quick to mention how she thinks of the book A Year in Provence and says:
Who hasn’t curled up with a Year in Provence and hankered after lavender fields and gorgeous hilltop villages” A booktrailer! We love her even more.
