If it’s a sunny destination you’re after then this is the book for you! The story starts in London and then we head to Monte Carlo where the level of glitz and glam is off the scale!
When Jenna first sees the harbour:
“Jenna looked at them there in the harbour sitting idle and empty, each one worth hundreds of thousands – millions- of pounds, bogging up and down in the gentle waters of Port Hercule. She couldn’t imagine that other famous Hercule – Poirot – thinking much of what his beloved Monte Carlo had become, his perfectly groomed mustache would wilt at the sight of such brash wealth.”
Some of the boats have funny names: Nautiboy and Aquaholic to name but two. When they go on one of the boats, they’re amazed by the plush setting and how the soft furnishings seem to muffle out the sound of MonteCarlo itself.
You get to experience some wealth in this book, spend time on those posh yachts and boats you often see. It’s quite the experience!
