What you need to know before your trail

The bones of three young women are unearthed in the basement of a Montreal pizza parlor, and forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan thinks that there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. Despite there being some antique buttons found on the victims she is not convinced these are old cases and that something more may be at stake.

But not everyone shares Tempe’s view and with her relationship with Detective Andrew Ryan at a delicate turning point, she is feeling the pressure from all directions. She really has to find proof and find justice for these girls quickly.

Travel Guide

It’s always a chill looking at the scenes of Montréal since this is a city we know well and have spent a lot of time there so are excited and horrified to find that a certain place is now a  literary murder scene so to speak.

This is like a ode to Montréal itself as Tempe herself says

“I find it fascinating – I delight in the whole Empanada, falafel, poutine, Kong Pao , the multiculturalism of the place…”

“I partake in the city’s never-ending round of festivals…”

“I frequent the stores of Ste-Catherine, the outdoor markets at Jean-Talon and Atwater….the paths along the Lachine Canal. I relish it all.”

She also gives us an image which now having looked more closely at a map of montreal makes us smile –

“The map of montreal makes me think of a foot with Dorval airport and the west island suburbs forming the ankle, the toes pointing east, and the heel dropping down into the Fleuve St-Laurent. Verdun forms the fatty part of the heel with Pointe St Charles as a tiny toeward bunion.”
