Travel Guide

Tuscany – Florence

The author states that Florence is generally agreed to be a place of such perfection that taking liberties with it feels like a wanton act of desecration so she apologises for the artistic licence she has takenn with it.

Settignano and Fiesole are of course real and they are villages close the fictional castle in the novel. Black Rock Hill  which is fictional, is placed in between of the two places and there is no castle there either.

You will believe in Black Rock and the castle and those wonderful views however if you read this novel.
