One day Sophie Bailey wakes up to find that her husband of 20 years is leaving her for a younger woman. With no job, no money, no self esteem and the threat of losing her home Sophie hasn’t got time to disappear inside her heartbreak, but has to sort something out and fast.
She soon finds out that she’s the source of gossip and so she tries to lie low, but then when she meets the rather nice Mr Rainford who she can fantasize about twice a day.
With her 40th birthday looming Sophie doesn’t think that it can get any worse – she was wrong. Suddenly Sophie’s life goes Viral!

There is no specific location in this novel but then that’s the point in a way – you’re supposed to read this and think of Cornwall as a whole: ice creams, sandy beaches, the sunny and rural walks and maybe a chance of meeting your very own hunk?
It’s the perfect place for rest and relaxation and for getting over heartbreak of any kind. There is not a great deal of Cornwall in the novel but there’s the promise of a break from it all.
