What you need to know before your trail

Inti Flynn arrives in the Scottish Highlands with fourteen grey wolves, a traumatised sister and fierce tenacity.

As a biologist, she knows the animals are the best hope for rewilding the ruined landscape and she cares little for local opposition. As a sister, she hopes the remote project will offer her twin, Aggie, a chance to heal after the horrific events that drove them both out of Alaska.

But violence dogs their footsteps and one night Inti stumbles over the body of a farmer. Unable to accept that her wolves could be responsible, she makes a reckless decision to protect them. But if the wolves didn’t make the kill, then who did? And can she trust the man she is beginning to love when he becomes the main suspect?

Discover the Cairngorms and where there were Wolves

This novel is et in the Cairngorms in Scotland  and looks at the relationship between humans and the natural habitat.

Here we look at the way attempts are made to reintroduce wolves there. Wolves will rebalance the habitat here apparently by making sure that the deer population keeps moving around and so trees can grow without their seeds or shoots being eaten. Inti in the novel is leading a team who will help the wolves adapt to their new environment.

There is resistance to this plan as farmers are worried about how this affect their livestock and the remote land itself.

The Cairngorms is a very beautiful and remote area in Scotland.
