2000s: Murder isn’t so difficult the second time around…
Sixteen years ago, best friends Nancy, Georgia and Lila did something unspeakable. Their crime forged an unbreakable bond between them, a bond of silence. But now, one of them wants to talk.
One wrong word and everything could be ruined, their lives, their careers, their relationships. It’s up to Georgia to call a crisis dinner. But things do not go as planned.
Three women walk in to the dinner, but only two will leave.
Murder isn’t so difficult the second time around…
Loosely based in Oxfordshire as the girls at the boarding school in the novel are applying for nearby Oxbridge. The entire novel is either set inside the boarding school or in a restaurant 16 years later when the girls go to meet and discuss what happened that fateful day.
The school will bring back memories for many – the girly cliques, the friends, enemies and the difficult getting to know people phase, whether you went to a boarding school or not. The struggle to get the right dorms, the right bed, the right room mates. Then what about the teachers?
This school sounds nice in some parts – there’s open fields, hills, a lacrosse pitch, tennis courts and a cluster of honey-coloured buildings…Shame about the students! You wouldn’t want to be at school with this bunch!
