What you need to know before your trail

Paris. City of love, city of romance.

The best place to go if you’re having a dry spell in your love life? full of inspiration that’s for sure and if you happen to go with your rather nice looking work colleague so much the better.

Or could it be the hardest place to be for all the lovers you’ll bump into, knowing that they can’t get a room for “Paris is their room”

Poppy has quite the dilemma and being just a little bit ditzy and with too many memories of her Erasmus years, she stumbles into what could be the business trip of a lifetime..

Travel Guide

Oh Poppy. You just know that a trip to the city of love during a dry spell is not going to be easy. The city is awash with love and lovers –

“No point in telling people in Paris to get a room, I muse. The whole city is their room.”

Oh and its a city she returns to with heart since memories of her tine there as an Erasmus student  – from the tiny apartment in rue Soufflot on the Ile Saint Louis to the memory of nutella covered pancakes for breakfast. Poppy does Paris indeed  – the food, the cobbled streets, the padlocked covered bridges  and the famous Shakespeare and Company bookshop.

“I adore this place..I remember it having so much character; its crammed from floor to ceiling with dusty old books…”

Paris to Poppy is a wonder and it shows for she makes an ideal travel companion. She takes us and herself round some of the most iconic sites in the city whilst she is on the trail of an author she is hoping to sign up. But she does get lost quite a bit – endearing and very easy to do in Paris!

The memories of your erasmus year, coupley weekends, historical tours around the city or even just a meander along the streets of the left bank? They’re all here…

As is the language, the particular custom of being in a French cafe and how to behave even if you are a few ‘kirs to the wind’ Poppy is your ideal, ditzy but fun loving guide to the city of light and love.
