Imagine if your boyfriend of two months cancelled Valentine’s day! Well it would be the ideal opportunity to go on a trip to Rome wouldn’t it? Taking her friends with her (Maggie and Lily from previous books) se’s wanting and needing a cultural ride with cappuccinos on one hand and maybe a nice Italian man on the other..
Oh and there might be the odd Vespa, hot tub and something very unexpected..
The perfect place for a getaway with your girlie friends when your boyfriend cancels Valentine’s day. Known for its winding alleys, stunning architecture and scrumptious food, it’s the ideal place to be. For Rachel, who’s a bit set in her ways and prone to the odd bout of stress, messy, random Rome is the perfect anecdote and a way to unwind..
Spending time in Rome with your best friends – the giggling, the chatting, the wandering through sun speckled cobbled streets stopping for an Italian ice cream, coffee and pasta and maybe all three is a sumptuous treat.
They wind their way to many of the city’s well known locations such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Feel the sun on your face, hear the Italian men chatting and whistling as you pass, visit a side to the city you’ve not seen before.
Everything we pass, almost without exception is beautiful, the Buildings are pink and orange and ochre, with tall wooden doors framed with stone arches;every few minutes there’ an ivy-coloured building housing a quaint bar or antique shop.
Rachel might be a planner but there are many things she find to do and see in Rome that were totally not planned (such as the hot tub but let’s not give too much away)
This is the Rome where friendships are the main focus but where the roman pull of weather, romance and delectable food really draws you in!
