Why a Booktrail?

Just what is life for a street lawyer? Not very typical if you’re in Rogue Lawyer it would seem. But then Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer either. He works from a customized bullet proof van and has a heavily armed driver. That’s it. That’s his reality and his work place all in one. His home isn’t much bigger but he does have room for a pool table which he often uses whilst drinking rum.
He’s also unusual for he takes on the cases that no-one else will touch – druggies, a boy suspected of being in a satanic cult, a vicious crime lord on death row..for everyone he believes deserves a fair trial
This is a tour of the underbelly of a rogue criminal society and a defence practice where each chapter covers a case that Sebastien Rudd gets involved with. He’s well known for getting his teeth into cases and doing what he can for his client so no surprise that everyone knows home – both police and criminals. Sebastien Rudd might see both sides of the fence but he certainly doesn’t sit on it.
What is life like for a street lawyer working and existing in a van working with the very worst and corrupt of society?
The towns and city referred to in the novel are vague and nameless in many cases but the booktrail covers Milo in Iowa and De Soto as there is a Milo in the book and the courthouse in De Soto was where Grisham himself worked as a lawyer although not a street one.
This seems to be the landscape and the environment which encompasses all of the characters.
