2000s: Is Rome really where the heart is?
2000s: Is Rome really where the heart is?
Friday 13th is unlucky for some and it’s definitely bad new for Kate when husband Matt dumps her. Instead of feeling sorry for herself however she decides it’s time for her to have some fun and so she hops on a plane to Rome. Just what the doctor ordered, right?
What do you do when in Rome – just what the Romans do right? So how about some grappa and gelato that she can enjoy, people watching from the pavement cafes ….what she doesn’t count on however is meeting and falling for sexy policeman Alessandro. But the course of true love doesn’t run smoothly – Alessandro’s family is going to make sure of that!
Can Kate and Alessandro’s love last the distance? Or will she return home with the one souvenir she doesn’t want – a broken heart …
To really get into this book, you should visit Rome and ride around on one of those Vespas, hopefully with someone as good looking as Alessandro in the driving seat:
You might meet your own Italian stranger here… this is where she meets Alessandro in the book so it might be a good idea to head here first and see who you can see!
Not really the place for a good night’s sleep… a bit bumpy and cold at night. But the ideal place to sit during the day and people watch. Fashion shows are shot here as the background really is quite something
Normally a great place to visit but not for Kate! The lions and baiting of the past can sometimes happen here it would seem but the history is far scarier….
If your visit to Rome goes well…you could make a final wish in the Trevi fountain as it’s famed for granting wishes and providing couples with answers about their love lives. Failing that and the corridors and twisty passages of the St Angelo Castle – made famous in Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons may be the best place to hide out or to make an escape of your own!
