From Edenbridge in Kent where Anne Boleyn grew up to the palaces and parks of London. There are so many places associated with Anne Boleyn. Unfortunately the last place she was, was The Tower of London as Henry VIII locked her up for treason and all kinds of other reasons.
It’s an amazing place and you can imagine the young Anne growing up here in luxury. The gardens and grounds are just as stunning as inside. Inside you can see Anne’s room as it might have been, the family art and there’s a strange room with torture equipment inside. It gives an insight into the life and times of the Boleyn family and life for the rich in general.
Anne was imprisoned here during the last few days of her life. Henry had her beheaded for treason and she was accused of sleeping with her brother and another man. She was really killed as she didn’t provide Henry with a son.
