1941: What would life be like if Germany had won the war?
In February 1941 British Command surrendered to the Nazis. Churchill has been executed, the King is in the Tower and the SS are in Whitehall…
For nine months Britain has been occupied – a blitzed, depressed and dingy country. However, it’s ‘business as usual’ at Scotland Yard run by the SS when Detective Inspector Archer is assigned to a routine murder case. Life must go on.
But when SS Standartenfuhrer Huth arrives from Berlin with orders from the great Himmler himself to supervise the investigation, the resourceful Archer finds himself caught up in a high level, all action, espionage battle.
London would not be the city that exists now if Germany had won the war.
A scene not unlike which took place in countries such as France where buildings were commandeered for political purposes and where the Tower of London, where many people have been imprisoned by former royals (Henry VIII famously locked up Anne Boleyn here) which is now being used to imprison the King.
The Jewish population of London is at risk and are being taken to camps and controlled in horrific ways as was the case in other countries.
Winston Churchill has been sent to Berlin and put on trial – what will his fate be and how will the attempts of setting up a Free British government work out? The politicians are in a very difficult and impossible situation and they walk a thin line between appeasing the Germans and working undercover whilst trying to get the Americans to intervene.
Detective Superintendent Douglas Archer tries to solve a murder but now, working with his partner DS Harry Woods, he must work under Gruppenfuhrer Kellerman who now controls Scotland Yard. More tension results when SS Standartenfuehrer Huth arrives suddenly from Berlin a man known for his harsh ways and his work with Himmler.
