All Georgie Turner wants is to keep her family together. But with her daughter growing up fast, her sister married to a man Georgie hates, and their aging aunt getting more and more outrageous, nothing’s simple.
So when her brother-in-law makes his biggest mistake yet, Georgie sees the chance to reunite the ladies in her life. And after a little persuasion, three generations of Turner women head off on a very unusual road trip. Georgie’s confident that some sun, sea and a bottle or two of prosecco will make this an adventure they’ll never forget.
What could possibly go wrong?
Four very different women in a car going all the way from Liverpool to Brighton. A shady business deal goes wrong and so the women decide to hide out and takes a few detours, but make their way to Brighton where Jade’s new boyfriend, a Spanish footballer called Luis, lives.
This is no Thelma and Louise road-trip however. These women do like a moan, and a loud discussion. Four strong opinions in one small car going up and down twisty roads in the middle of nowhere is not going to make for a comfortable journey. They have to stop in laybys and at B and Bs along the way and there seems to be no toilets in England – as they are always on the search for one.
Brighton – their final destination suggests a beach, a nice apartment just outside in Rottingdean. But no peace…
